Writing about myths
is to write about dreams
Which dreams, you ask?
The idea of dreams
from working with a psychologist
or the dreams of
Your own inner being?
The dreams within
that cause you to wonder
at it all
The dreams that say…
Hey wait a minute.
That’s not where I’m going
with this
The dreams that wake you
and cause you to wonder
Where you are
in the present tense?
A laughable thought
or to wonder where
you are going
It doesn’t matter then
what happens next
You’re not wed to the future
any more than to the past
It’s dreams of awakening,
of forgetfulness
Not severed by a cord
to any place, time, or thought at all
This is the dream
Your having now
This dream..
Oh wait!
What dream was that?
That dream has been shattered
by the dreams that burst in
through that one,
or another one,
or through dreams that came before,
or yet to come
This dream
A dream to be continued
beyond the world of dreaming
to a place of dreaming
by the way
What happened to myths?
Did I dream about them?
Or am I dreaming now?
